Hope you like this pastel portrait of a Siamese Cat called Willow. I decided to add a bright green background to bring out the blue eyes. I’m doing the Scottish Siamese Cat Society Annual Show on 3rd July in Glenrothes so am going to do an acrylic canvas of a siamese cat as well to take along – will hopefully be adding it to my blog soon!! Just a short posting today – I’ve spent all day getting ready for the Fife Show on Saturday. I finished my felt mobile phone covers and purses & then forgot to take a photo before packing them away so will have to take some at the show. I probably won’t get time to blog until after the show now but will be back soon with lots of photos from the weekend. Can’t wait to see all the animals!! Love life

I’m going to work on felt mobile phone covers andpurses this afternoon – need them for the Fife Show on Saturday. Hope to have time to put some pics of them on my blog in next couple of days. It’s a cold day so it will be a pleasure to work indoors – not like yesterday when I just couldn’t resist doing some gardening (with the help of all the cats of course!!) Love life

 

Cats – Dennis

You won’t be surprised to learn that I am an animal lover – have been ever since I can remember. Thought you’d like to see some photo’s of my lovely cats so have set myself the mission to find 3 photo’s of each of my 5 cats which sum them up and also show their kittenhood. Today I’ve added Dennis -he’s 4 years old and, although he is such a gorgeous cat, I’m ashamed to say I’ve never done a portrait of him yet – he’s on my ever-growing list of portraits I want to do in between doing fairs, exhibitions and working on commissions!

 I’ve not managed to do as much as I would have liked today – went to the chiropractor this morning and spent a lot of the afternoon sitting with an ice pack on my head & neck. Still, I’ll feel loads better tomorrow for it and will hopefully get lots done! Got the Fife Show coming up on 22 May so got lots to do to get ready for that.

New Blog

I’ve finally taken the leap and decided to start a blog so that other people can see my art and have a little insight into the life of a ‘post-modern hermit’ artist. Had a really long day today so this is only a short post – tomorrow I’ll have more time to actually work out the whole blogging thing and, hopefully, put some more content on – at least to tell you a bit about myself and what I do.
